Palm Springs RV Parks

Directory and Photographs

Below are links to photos I've taken of most of the popular RV parks within this prime resort area. No park has paid a fee to be included.

For years we've been taking first a travel trailer and more recently our motorhome to the Palm Springs area for several weeks every winter. We now own a lot (#394) at Outdoor Resort, Palm Springs which we rent out for much of the year. Located about 100 miles east of Los Angeles, the warm and sunny winter climate can't be beat. Long ago popularized by movie stars and televised golf tournaments, the entire Coachella Valley is a rapidly growing, year-around vacation and retirement area that includes the communities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indian Wells, Indio and Desert Hot Springs.

E-mail "webmaster@ palmspringsrvparks .com" (remove the spaces) if you have suggestions for parks I've missed or other comments. I value your feedback. Please don't write asking about specific RV park information, recommendations or reservations! Call the park directly.

Here's a solution to high gas prices. This 2002 Toyota RAV4-EV belongs to a client of mine here in Northern California. She loves her car! Unfortunately, Chevron Oil Company bought the patent rights to its nickel metal hydride battery and successfully sued Toyota to stop its production. The 100+ mile per charge battery would be perfect to mate with the Prius or other hybrid car. Gasoline would be used only as a backup fuel.

Since most families own at least two cars, if one was an electric car or "plug-in hybrid", U.S. gasoline consumption would be dramatically reduced and prices might even fall. Oil is a great fuel for airplanes, ships, trucks, freight trains and motorhomes, but let's insist on this very practical alternative to gasoline for cars, NOW! Click here for my electric car page with many photos, links and videos.

Food for thought.... I saw this on a bulletin board at a Southern California RV park. Best we pursue our dreams now, while we have the energy to do it! Our friends Barry and Sue (while in their late-50s) rented out their house near San Francisco, bought a used 42' sailboat and spent two years sailing the South Seas and then on to Australia. It took them 24 days to sail from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to the Marquessas, French Polynesia. "Down Under", they sold their boat and traveled in a small motorhome for almost a year.
